This chair is very heavy and tight. The arm chairs weigh 22 lbs. each and the side chairs are a little less. These chairs are heavy relative to other chairs on the market. This chair will go perfectly with light and medium mahogany or cherry wood. It has a nice brown color. The first thumbnail picture showing the chairs around a table best represents true color. I found this chair at a furniture show and it will work well with any of our mahogany dining room tables. The chairs have a bow and swag carving and serpentine fronts. The slip seats can be removed for new fabric. Also keep in mind this shield back chair has an usually high back. Most shield back chairs are 36 inches high, these are 41. They will stand tall alongside your table.
